You attempt to open a LegiTest project and find that it opens in the XML editor, not the graphical user interface. It appears like the screenshot above.
There are multiple reasons this could happen:
- The most common issue is not having LegiTest licensed or having an expired trial. To address this problem, open the license manager and input your LegiTest Activation Key.
If the above did not resolve the issue please continue to the next step.
- Another potential is that the incorrect editor is associated with LegiTest files. To correct this, right click the .legitest or legitestgroup file in the Solution Explorer and select the “Open With” option. You will be presented with a list of editors. Select the LegiTest item in the list. It may be displayed as LegiTest (Default). If LegitTest is not the default, click Set as Default. Then select OK, and the correct editor should be associated with LegiTest files.
