A user will run a process locally within their Visual Studio environment and find that it succeeds. They will deploy the Project/Package/Process to a Server for it to run via a Scheduled Job. Some Task Factory tasks and components use the system or user temporary directory location for storage of temporary files. When permissions for that file path do not exists the following error message is generated:
Error: file 'C:\Windows\TEMP\tb2igkdr.0.vb' could not be found
The user account that is executing the packages will need Read, Write, and Execute privileges to the file location designated in the error.
- If the user does not have Read, Write, and Read/Execute privileges on the machine, have an authorized Administrator provide the required permission by completing the following on the Server where the failure is occurring
- Select “Edit”
- Select the option to allow Read/Execute as well as Read and Write. Select, “Apply” and Select, “OK”.
- By allowing these permissions the user should be able to successfully execute on the process on the server.
