If you are connected to a BI xPress database that is no longer accessible or available the below pop-error will prevent you from accessing the Monitoring Dashboard. The pop-up error states, “Unable to Connect to the BI xPress database. The database could not be accessed or is currently unavailable. Please ensure the correct BI xPress database has been specified”
To resolve you can check your connection string or connect to an accessible BI xPress database by modifying the connection string within the Preferences.
Select the “Preferences” tab on the left-hand side of the Workbench Application.
Click the drop-down arrow next to BI xPress and select “Monitoring Dashboard”
From here you can modify the Connection String as necessary or connect to another preexisting BI xPress database. Once you have modified the Connection String please select “OK”. If you need to create a new BI xPress database select the “Auditing Framework” feature:
In the left-hand corner select “Create BI xPress Database” and enter the correct configuration information.
