If issues arise during the installation of your Pragmatic Workbench Server, you may need to generate an install log to determine additional information.
On the environment encountering this install issue, open your command prompt as administrator.
Enter the fully qualified location of your install file, then add “ /l*v log.txtcmd” after. For example: “C:\Users\jmoore\Downloads\Workbench_Server_Trial.exe /l*v log.txtcmd”
To find the file path and fully qualified name of your installer, you can check the properties of your installer file.
In my example, it will look like this within the Command Prompt – substitute your specific information for the fully qualified location of your .exe installer file.
When you run this command, it will launch the Workbench Server installer and will generate a log located in the same location as your installer file. Proceed through the Workbench Server install process until you encounter the same issue that was stopping you from installing your Workbench Server, then you can review the log for additional information or forward this log file to your support agent or to firstname.lastname@example.org with a description of your issue for review.
