How to transfer licenses for Task Factory from one environment to another.
As a best practice, it is recommended that you prepare the new environment by first installing the same version of Task Factory that is on your current environment to avoid any mismatch or version issues.
When you are prepared to initiate the transfer of the licenses, you will first need to deactivate the license from each environment being transferred. To do this, simply run the 'License Manager' application from the environments that will be transferred and select 'Deactivate'.
If your environments are offline with no internet connection or are behind security measures, then simply reach out to support (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we will deactivate the specified environments with account administrator approval. If you pursue the offline activation, please include in your email to support the activation key and the identifier of the environment(s) to be deactivated.
Once all of your environments that are being transferred have been deactivated, you are ready to now activate on your new environments. On each of the environments, open the 'License Manager' application and select 'Install a License.' If your environment is connected to the internet, proceed to “Online Activation“ and if your environment is offline or has security measures that block connections, proceed to “Offline Activation”.
If your new environments are connected to the internet, select 'Use an activation key' then 'OK'.
Add your activation key to the 'Activation key' field. The 'Environment Identifier' is a field where you can choose what you wish to identify this specific activation or environment with. When ready, select 'Activate' to finish the process.
If your environments are not connected to the internet or are behind security that blocks outside connections, select 'Activate manually without Internet connection' then select 'OK'.
Copy your Environment Key to your clipboard, and then paste it into an email to email@example.com . In your email, please include an environment identifier you wish to label the environment with. Support will reply to your email with a manual activation block that you will copy and paste into the ‘Manual key’ field. Finally, select activate and you will have finished the transfer of your license.
