Customers looking for connection string information for the Server Product(s) can find that information below. This is important for those customers that want to change and reference a different Database from the databases they originally set up during the installation of the Server Product.
Customers may want to change the connection and point to a different BI xPress Database on another Server, DEV versus PROD, and monitor those package executions in the SSIS Monitoring Dashboard. The only connection string information that can be viewed/modified within the product itself is BI xPress Server in the admin settings area.
Log onto the Server Product – Access your Server URL from your browser of choice.
Step 1: Find the “Admin” Gear on the far right and Click it.
Step 2: Click on “System Settings”
Step 3: Click on “Feature Settings”
Step 4: Click on “BI xPress Server” (to expand and show all the Server side settings and configuration options)
Once you click on BI xPress Server you will be presented with a plethora of information, along with connection information so you can point to whatever Server and BI xPress Database you would like to monitor from the Server Product.
If you are looking for the other products, DOC xPress Server or LegiTest Server, then the connection string information can be found in the following Settings or Config files – listed below:
(Please note. It is not common to edit the Setting and Config files. If you have changed the source of your DOC xPress or LegiTest databases, uninstalling the Server Product and reinstalling, pointing to the new location of these databases will ensure that all the connection information is updated as part of the fresh install.)
